Week 18: OMA “Deception”? + Swine Flu Prevention + Rain + + Mother’s Day?

Host: Omar (GreenKufi)

As-Saff [ch. 61 v. 1-6 | Recited by Abdullah Basfar -عبد الله بن علي بصفر ]

Pants On Fire So, It turns out that the OMA is playing a funny game. First they send out a letter to the OMA membership telling them that no discussion, vote, or otherwise interest at all in the issue of the Imam will be addressed at all. At this meeting. in other words they are saying that the issue of the imam will not be discussed. Also, this means that there will be no vote on the imam issue, since you can’t really vote on the imam issue without bringing it up. Besides that they said there will be no vote on this issue. I just wanted to make it perfectly clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that what the letter from the OMA stated is perfectly obvious and clear. Here is the text of the letter. Good. Now that that is cleared up. On with the news. The OMA on April 29th, had a vote on the imam issue. Makes perfect sense, right? The OMA says no vote, and then they have a vote. Hmmm. Seems peculiur actually. What do you think about all this?

Swine flu

“Of the six confirmed cases of the H1N1 swine flu virus in Canada, four are in Nova Scotia and two are in British Columbia. All six people, health officials said, have relatively mild symptoms and have recovered.” – CBC

1. Avoid close contact. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect them from getting sick too.

2. Stay home when you are sick. If possible, stay home from work, school, and errands when you are sick. You will help prevent others from catching your illness.

3. Cover your mouth and nose. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. It may prevent those around you from getting sick.

4. Clean your hands. Washing your hands often will help protect you from germs.

5. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.

6. Practice other good health habits. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food.
