Habitat For Humanity

Muslims often benefit from many of the social programs available in such a beautiful country as Canada.

Seldom, unfortunately, do Muslims give back to the community at large.

We are offering you the opportunity to get out in beautiful weather and help build a house for the needy people in the community. A Sadaqa Jaariyah in fact.

Habitat for Humanity helps people in need to have a home with the help of donation, volunteer assistance, and your dua. Very notable of Habitat for Humanity’s projects (or “Builds”) is that they are interest free homes.

In Ottawa, 30 needy family are benefiting from this project.

5 out of the 30 are Muslim Families. And there are many Muslims on a waiting list. They need our help. Here’s your chance to give back.

Habitat for Humanity is having a Multi-Faith Build.

To help out by offering your skills, services, assistance, food, donations, support, advertising, raising awareness and dua contact us at COMMUNITY_OUTREACH [@] salamottawa.ca

Specifically, for the ideas we have, we are looking for:

  • A camera man/woman
  • Video producers
  • Community networker, and
  • Presenters

In addition to, of course, volunteers to help with the build, whether you are skilled or not there is always something you can do to help.

Businesses and organizations are encouraged to participate in offering skills, materials, refreshments and meals sponsoring volunteers. Businesses or organization who participate are promised a daily mention of thanks and poster with their name at the build site, as well as dua from the families that are benefiting from this.

Please, if you care contact us. Or at least raise awareness.

A Multi-Faith build seems like it could be a great idea, and you bring up some interesting points.
    Thanks for your article,
